Oktoberfest at Brownsburg Meadows Offers Family Fun, Free Food, Music ( Activities start at 11:30 a.m. and are over at 1:30 p.m.) Celebrate Oktoberfest this Saturday where the whole family can enjoy free German food, German music and events for the children, including face painting and pony rides. The first 50 first-time visitors will receive a $10 gift certificate, one per family. There is also a drawing for a $100 gift card. |

Symphonic Hits powered by Lilly Xian Zhang Conducts Tchaikovsky 5 (7:30pm, Tickets from $20) In March 2009, the Giuseppe Verdi Orchestra in Milan (Italy) appointed 35-year-old Xian Zhang to the position of Music Director, making her the first woman to earn that title with an Italian symphony orchestra. In 2011, she returns to conduct Tchaikovsky’s stirring Fifth Symphony and leads Till Fellner and the ISO in Schumann’s popular piano concerto. |
