Artman Lutheran Home
An Assisted Living Facility in Philadelphia

Artman Lutheran HomeSince 1916, Artman Lutheran Home, a not-for-profit faith-based organization, has recognized the unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of our residents.

The Mission of Artman Lutheran Home...

"We exist to assist individuals in successful aging through love, compassion and services that enhance independence."

Artman's rich history began with the vision of Major Enos Artman, a merchant, Civil War officer, and Lutheran, who dreamed of a place where people could come together and live in peace and fulfillment. In 1916, his generous bequest made his dream a reality with the founding of Artman Home. More than 85 years later, through the dedication of board members, administration, staff and volunteers, his legacy lives on. Currently, more than 180 residents call Artman 'home'.

Artman offers three levels of Assisted Living as well as Skilled Nursing Care. This continuum of care makes it possible for residents to remain in familiar surroundings as their needs change. Our care is designed to meet a wide variety of individual needs, and Artman is committed to maintaining staffing ratios exceeding those mandated by the state. These features provide peace of mind for our residents and their family members.

The Becoming Center at Artman is a health and wellness center dedicated to addressing the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the members. Our state-of-the-art fitness center is outstanding for strength training, and our heated pool is excellent for restorative therapy.

Additional services offered at the Becoming Center include exercise classes, personal training, yoga, massage therapy, Pilates, and nutritional counseling. Residents of Artman Lutheran Home receive a complimentary membership to the Becoming Center, as it is part of their home.
