Spacious apartments
No matter what the size, we have an apartment for everyone. Residents
can choose from studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom floor plans. Most
feature a balcony or patio, and all have cable TV, individual heat and
air-conditioning controls, and a kitchenette complete with refrigerator/freezer.
The suites are beautifully adorned with contemporary carpeting and paint,
and all have large windows to let in plenty of natural light.
Space for everyone
Besides the spacious suites, the residence features about 30,000 square
feet of common area, including includes a beauty/barber shop, library,
exercise/activity room, large-screen TV lounge, plus a billiard and game
room.
The dining experience
One of the most popular amenities is the dining service. As part of the
monthly rent, residents enjoy three delicious chef-prepared meals every
day, served in the elegant dining room. The menu is prepared with the
input of a dietician who specializes in senior nutrition. Meals are carefully
balanced, well proportioned, full of taste, and give seniors the energy
they need.
Managers
During meals, residents are served coffee by two couples that are on-site
managers. They do this to get to know residents better. They want to know
who has a new grandchild, a burned-out light bulb, and if people are enjoying
themselves in their homes. This interaction fosters an amazing sense of
community.
Security
The four managers not only assist in keeping residents comfortable, but
also help provide peace of mind. Each apartment is equipped with state-of-the-art
sprinkler and emergency call systems. The call system connects residents
to on-site managers who are available 24 hours a day.
Activities
To keep residents on their toes, there is a complete activity calendar.
The community has a full-time activity coordinator who creates a program
to keep residents happy and healthy. There are in-house events such as
exercise classes, educational speakers, crafts, games, and the popular
movie nights. There are also shopping trips and excursions. Transportation
for these trips, errands, and appointments is provided by the community‚s
own climate-controlled bus.
Travel perk
In addition to all of the other amenities Bethel Park provides, residents
may take advantage of the unique resident travel program. Guest rooms
are available at over 200 retirement communities around Canada, the United
States, and England. There is a small fee to stay in Hawaii, but everywhere
