Country Meadows Retirement Communities
Retirement Community in the South Hills (Pittsburgh)
Country Meadows Retirement Communities of South Hills, located in suburban Bridgeville, has been providing a full range of retirement community services to seniors since 1983. Owned and operated by the family of former Governor George M. Leader, Country Meadows offers a wide range of services to meet most needs.
We
offer Independent Living, which caters to the most independent resident.
The independent living program features one meal per day, weekly housekeeping
and events daily. Resident apartments allow seniors to live without the
burdens associated with home ownership, while at the same time allowing
them access to staff members when needed.
Basic Assisted Living is designed for seniors that require some assistance with activities of daily living. Specifically, basic assisted living offers three meals per day, assistance with dressing and bathing, medications management, weekly housekeeping, daily events and entertainment.
The William Penn Program ® is designed for short-term stays when rehabilitation or support services are required. It is also helpful for residents with chronic conditions who may need a greater level of support.
The
Windows Memory Support Program ® is designed to meet the needs of
seniors who are beginning to struggle with memory impairments and isolate
themselves due to the recognition of their declining capabilities. Co-workers
assist residents with maintaining their appropriate level of independence.
The Meadows Program ® is designed for seniors living with Alzheimer's disease and other memory-related impairments. We offer accommodations in an environment that enhances the resident's remaining abilities.
Our South Hills campus also has a separate skilled nursing care facility for rehabilitative care or long-term residency.
Our various levels of care allow couples, with different needs, to remain together at Country Meadows. It also allows for additional services for our residents, as their accommodation needs change.
Our residents have a variety of things to enjoy throughout the day. Trips, live entertainment, daily events, outdoor walking paths, volunteering programs and exercise programs are just of the few amenities enjoyed by residents.
We
recognize that mealtime is a social time for residents. Our dining program
offers not only dinner companions, but also a selection of homemade entrees,
fresh baked bread, a salad bar of fresh vegetables, fruit and pasta salads,
soups and a dessert cart with both regular and sugar-free options. Menus
are selected from traditional resident favorites and also offer suggestions
for local favorite entrée choices. Healthy menu options are also
available at each meal for residents who appreciate a healthier style
of eating. Ice cream, fresh fruit, crackers, coffee, tea and juice are
available all of the time.
Because Country Meadows Retirement Communities is non-denominational, people of all faiths are welcome. Our pastoral care program employs full-time chaplains who lead religious programs and provide one-on-one counseling. Additionally, we have part-time clergy to lead faith-specific religious programs. Our philosophy encourages residents to continue practicing their faith in a meaningful way and we are always happy to assist residents with recognizing their important religious holidays.
