HealthSouth Harmarville Rehabilitation Hospital is a 202-bed acute rehabilitation hospital located in Pittsburgh and offers comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and home health services. In 1954, HealthSouth Harmarville became the first comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility in Western Pennsylvania. With more than 2,000 patients treated annually, it remains one of the largest acute inpatient rehabilitation centers in the country.
Specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, our physicians lead a highly qualified team of nurses and therapists to provide a coordinated program of rehabilitative care. As an acute care rehabilitation hospital, HealthSouth Harmarville offers a more intense regimen and higher level of care such as greater physician involvement and therapy time, as well as increased availability of pharmacy and laboratory services. HealthSouth's team approach engages rehabilitation experts from many disciplines and includes the latest technology.

HealthSouth's long-term acute care hospitals (LTACH) specialize in the intense care and rehabilitation of patients who have multiple acute health care needs. Our programs are designed to medically stabilize and strengthen patients so they can return to their highest possible level of function.
Most patients who have been hospitalized with a serious illness or injury eventually will be ready to leave the acute hospital setting. But what happens to those patients who need special care programs and are not stable enough to leave the hospital environment?
Licensed as acute care hospitals, HealthSouth's LTACH hospitals bridge the gap between hospital and home, providing services to medically complex patients who require an extended stay in an acute hospital environment. HealthSouth's LTACH hospitals are accredited by The Joint Commission.

HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Sewickley is a 44-bed acute rehabilitation hospital located on a serene campus in Pennsylvania, and provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services along with home health. HealthSouth Sewickley offers eight private and 18 semi-private rooms, a spacious family room, and an outside courtyard with shaded seating where patients and their families can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. The hospital is one of the few freestanding acute inpatient rehabilitation centers in the region and treats more than 800 patients annually from the tri-state area.

Home Evaluation Program
The hospital provides no cost home screenings for individuals who might benefit from our care. To facilitate a screening, the individual, a family member or a healthcare professional should call 412-826-2716 or 877-937-7342 to request a home evaluation. A liaison will visit the individual's home, complete the screening and make appropriate recommendations.
