Specialized Care When You Need It the Most

The multi-disciplinary teams at LifeCare Hospitals of Pittsburgh are directed by highly trained, committed physicians and include healthcare professionals involved in all aspects of a patient’s care. Long term acute care hospitals (LTACHs) offer structured programs for patients suffering from critical injury or illness who require acute care and/or therapy services. We specialize in the treatment of medically complex patients who require intensive, round-the-clock care. Many patients are transferred to LifeCare after a stay in an intensive care unit and have often experienced multiple system failures.

LifeCare Hospitals of Pittsburgh operates on four different campuses with a combined capacity of 283 beds and a medical staff that includes more than 350 physicians.

Our Main Campus offers a full range of LTACH services as well as in-patient behavioral health services.

At our Suburban Campus, you will find stat-of-the-art technology including telemetry-capable beds and a high observation unit that allows for in-room cardiac monitoring. All rooms accommodate high-intensity services such as dialysis and mechanical ventilation.

To better serve our community, LifeCare’s Suburban Campus opened a Transitional Care Center in September 2011. Our TCC offers intermediate skilled nursing care for patients recovering after a stay in a community acute hospital or other health event.

Our location within Alle-Kiski Medical Center has modern, high-tech equipment to enhance the expert care delivered to the medically complex patients we serve.
