Masonicare at Ashlar Village, a nationally accredited, not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community. Located in Wallingford, it is nestled on 168 acres of meadows, woodlands and pond. Residents enjoy independent living in an environment rich with social, recreational and cultural opportunities. Masonicare at Ashlar Village offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, cottages and villas, all designed with senior living in mind. Masonicare at Ashlar Village also offers a premier Assisted Living community, designed expressly for older adults who need a hand with the tasks of everyday living, but still want to remain as independent as possible. Separate accommodations for those residents with mild to moderate dementia provide a warm, secure environment that allows them to remain as independent as possible. Residents of both communities have priority access to Masonicare's full "continuum of care."
Masonicare at Newtown. At Masonicare's skilled nursing and rehabilitation campus in Newtown, residents and patients receive the services, dignity and respect they deserve. The short-term nursing and rehabilitation center offers comprehensive care for adults 18 and over following surgery or serious illness, and the same outstanding rehabilitation services are available on an outpatient basis as well. An adjoining Assisted Living community, where each resident lives in his or her own private apartment, provides exceptional care for adults who need some assistance with the routines of daily living. In addition, a separate floor for residents with mild to moderate dementia offers a warm, secure environment that allows them to remain safe and as independent as possible. All residents have access to the medical expertise of Masonicare at Newtown's rehabilitation and skilled nursing services.
Masonicare Home Health & Hospice and Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice, Masonicare's not-for-profit home healthcare agencies, take pride in their patient-centered, compassionate approach to care. In addition to providing skilled visiting nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Masonicare offers the support of physical, occupational, and speech therapists, social workers, and home health aides. With several offices statewide, Masonicare can bring a caring touch right to your doorstep. Masonicare's Hospice program provides comfort and compassionate care for any person with a terminal illness and offers support to families as well. Care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in a home or hospital setting. Trained professionals and volunteers offer services ranging from pain management to grief counseling.
Masonicare Health Center, located in Wallingford, has been a pioneer in providing outstanding healthcare to seniors. The state-of-the-art facility offers skilled nursing and long-term care, acute care, in- and out-patient rehabilitation including physical, occupational and speech therapy, an inpatient hospice unit with private rooms, and a geriatric medical/psychiatric program. The Center also has special expertise in caring for patients in all stages of dementia; patients reside in a safe and secure environment, where clinicians provide reassurance and assistance 24 hours a day with an emphasis on comfort and quality of life. Masonicare Health Center also offers specialty outpatient programs such as Low Vision and Audiology. The Leslie G. Wright Residence, a licensed residential care home, and the A. Norman Johnson Apartments and Kenneth B. Hawkins Apartments for independent seniors, are also conveniently located on campus.
