State Health Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (SHIP)
Cape May County Department of Aging has experienced SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) counselors who offer FREE and confidential one-on-one counseling and assistance making healthcare choices for people with Medicare. We are here to educate, advocate, counsel and empower Medicare beneficiaries to make informed healthcare decisions in choosing health insurance to meet your needs.
SHIP counselors also provide information and assistance for beneficiaries with limited income and resources in applying for Extra Help paying for prescriptions and Medicare Part B premiums and special benefits programs.

- If your annual income is less than $14,702 (if single) and $19,859 (if married), and your assets, not including your home and car, total less than $6,680 for a single person or $10,020 for a couple, you can get assistance paying your Medicare Part B premium
