As a child I always had a passion for photography and design, however my younger sister's artistic ability was the one that everyone noticed. She was an unbelievable artist and writer. Back then I believed that I just didn't have the knack for it and I thought my desire & passion for photography was just a dream.
As my life progressed into motherhood my passion for photography & design started to surface again. I first began fulfilling my passion in the new craze of Scrapbooking, but that was just the start of it. Soon my passion became a driven obsession and devotion. I started going to workshops and events where people began telling me how creative and powerful my designs and photographs were. What? I am not an artist, my sister was. After several years of encouragement from my family, friends, and my faith and strength of my sister watching over me, Photography by Jolene was born.
Wow, a photographer. I had discovered my true God Given Talent. God really knew what I was to become. He blessed me with the eyes and creativity to see things that others don't. He blessed me with the ability to capture a masterpiece with the photos I create with my camera. What a gift!
My mother and father had been my top support, encouraging me to follow my heart, express my creativity, and fulfill my dreams. How blessed I am to now have my sister's strength to guide me, my mother's words to encourage me, and my father's heart to carry me. I have spent the time wrapped in my cocoon and now my beautiful butterfly wings are taking me down a road that I will never turn back. I love what I am doing and for that I am grateful.
