SPEECH LANGUAGE SERVICES
Our experienced speech language pathologists evaluate and provide treatment for adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing problems. These may be as a result of stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, vocal pathology, stuttering, and TBI.

About the Director
Robert W. Woods, Ph.D., CCCA, FAAA, ABA
Dr. Woods received his Masters Degree and Ph.D. Degree from Purdue University. He was Professor of Audiology for nine years and Adjunct Professor for seven years in the Graduate School at Columbia University. He was recently Adjunct Clinical Professor of Audiology at The College of New Jersey and has lectured at Montclair State University and Seton Hall University. Licensed both as an Audiologist and as a Hearing Aid Dispenser, Dr. Woods has been Director of Speech & Hearing Associates since 1969.
Dr. Woods has been awarded "Honors of the Association" from the New Jersey Speech Language and Hearing Association. He was also recognized by the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association for demonstrating "the highest professional standards of integrity and ethical principles in the execution of clinical services." He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Speech Language and Hearing Association and on the Executive Council of the New Jersey Academy of Audiology.
Insurance
Medicare and most insurance companies will cover the cost of an audiological evaluation. Medicare will cover the cost of a "diagnostic audiological evaluation" with a referral from your PCP. Some Unions and Private insurers also provide coverage for hearing aids.
Speech language evaluations and often treatment may be covered by your insurance. Call us for information.
