Young and Old

St. Anne's Mead provides a continuum of care designed to be responsive to the individual and varying needs of our residents. We offer programs for Assisted Living, Extended Care Nursing, Respite Care, and End-of-Life Care. We are fully licensed and operate as a non-profit, interfaith, residential care community.

St. Anne's Mead has a long tradition of providing excellent care. Our dedicated and compassionate staff provides individualized care ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity to our residents, and peace of mind to their families.

Assisted Living

Assisted Living at St. Anne's Mead provides residents with assistance such as medication management, shower assistance, dressing assistance, reminders and verbal cueing, bed making, personal laundry and others.

Residents enjoy private accommodations, either a studio apartment or a suite, all in a single-story building located near dining areas and activity rooms. Gardens and walking paths are just a few steps away.

St. Anne's Mead strives to meet each resident's physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs in a caring and home-like atmosphere. Should an Assisted Living resident require the additional support of 24 hour nursing, they would receive priority access for placement in our Extended Care Nursing unit.

Extended Care Nursing

St. Anne's Mead Extended Care Nursing unit offers basic nursing services to those who require this level of care. The staff includes a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurses and Nurse Assistants. We provide 24 hour a day supervision, ambulation and personal care by competent and caring staff members. Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy are available for those who require them.

The Extended Care Nursing unit offers a choice of semi-private or private accommodations, with all the amenities and safety features as those in our Assisted Living program. It has a higher staff-to-resident ratio than other areas of the Mead, and additional security features.

This area features a separate dining room and lounge for reading, viewing television and entertaining guests. There is a lovely yard with table & chairs for visiting and viewing the beautiful rose garden and walking paths.

St. Anne's Mead Extended Care Nursing Unit is licensed under the State of Michigan, Department of Consumer and Industry Services, as a Basic Nursing Facility.

Respite Care

St. Anne's Mead provides Respite Care, or short term stays, for a few days or weeks. We accept residents for respite care in both our Assisted Living and Extended Care Nursing units. Respite Care residents are entitled to all of the amenities of the Mead, including three meals a day, snacks, all activities, access to the physician and podiatrist, etc.

Respite rooms are furnished by St. Anne's Mead, although respite residents may choose to bring in some or all of their own furnishings. Residents who wish to continue living at the Mead can easily transition into one of our long-term programs.

Hospice/End-of-Life Care

St. Anne's Mead provides high quality End-of-Life care for our residents. This care is provided by our compassionate and capable staff as well as in cooperation with area hospice programs. It is available for residents in all program areas at St. Anne's Mead.
